Honor Guard

The Norton Shores Police and Fire Honor Guard is an eight-person team comprised of four police officers and four firemen. Each officer must apply for the position and be approved by the Chief of Police. This team was formed to provide support and pay respects to fallen officers and their families. Each member attends a week-long training on the protocols and procedures for full-honor funerals and the presentation of the colors.

The team also provides demonstrations for several events including the Sportsmen For Youth event, Cops & Hoses, Mona Shores High School events, and the Muskegon County Police Officer Memorial services.
