Description:
This position is perfect for Criminal Justice students seeking experience and practical skills. With schedules that can be modified to the needs of College students, opportunities exist for part-time work, both year-round and seasonally. During the traditional school year, Cadets will primarily work in the front office in a customer service capacity. From Memorial Day to Labor Day (peak season), Cadets will help conduct proactive patrols the City’s park system. Internship credits can also be earned with participating Universities/Colleges.
Duties can include (but are not limited to):
- Customer Service at the police lobby
- Records management
- Patrol City Parks
- Enforce City Ordinances
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age by 5/13/2026.
- Must have a valid Michigan Operator License.
- Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Must have a clean criminal record.
