HARVEY STREET & STERNBERG ROAD INTERESTION RECONSTRUCTION – PHASE 2 TRAFFIC UPDATE (updated 9/29/2026)
UPDATE 9/29/26 – Due to the weather forecast, the transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 is currently scheduled for Friday, October 2nd.
HARVEY STREET & STERNBERG ROAD INTERESTION RECONSTRUCTION – PHASE 2 TRAFFIC UPDATE
Great progress continues at the Harvey Street & Sternberg Road intersection, and crews are preparing to move into Phase 2 of the reconstruction project!
IMPORTANT – PHASE 1 TO PHASE 2 TRANSITION:
On the first day of the transition, Harvey Street will be CLOSED to traffic on BOTH the north and south sides of the intersection.
Traffic on Sternberg Road will be shifted to maintain traffic flow through the area during the transition.
DURING PHASE 2:
Once the transition is complete, the south side of the intersection will remain closed to Harvey Street traffic. Motorists should continue to follow the posted detour.
WHAT DRIVERS SHOULD KNOW:
• Detours will remain in place throughout construction.
• Please follow all posted traffic-control signs and detour routes.
• Drivers should expect delays and allow additional travel time.
• Please use caution around crews and equipment in the work zone.
