City Council Approves 2023 Water Discount Income Level for Seniors

To qualify for the senior citizen discount on your utility bill, all of the following guidelines MUST be met:

  • MUST be 62 years of age or older.
  • MUST own and live in the home that receives the utility bill.
  • Total annual household income MUST be lower than $25,420.
  • MUST submit a signed copy of your latest MI Homestead Property Tax form.

If you meet ALL of the above criteria, please submit a Senior & Low-Income Application and all

3 pages of your MI Homestead Property Tax form to:

Once processed and approved, your discount will be reflected on your next water bill.
A letter will automatically be sent to you each year, reminding you to bring in your yearly Homestead Property Tax Form for the continuation of the discounted rate.
