The City of Norton Shores will begin its annual fire hydrant flushing program starting on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
The program is expected to last approximately four weeks, during which service crews will be flushing each of the City's fire hydrants. Flushing activities will take place between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.
Residents are advised that some discoloration of the water may occur during this period; however, no health problem exists.The flushing process is a vital part of maintaining the integrity of the water system and ensuring high-quality water service. The City appreciates the understanding and cooperation of its residents during this maintenance period.
