Mrs. Jamie Sowa was elected at the November 2, 2021 election to the position of At Large Council Member for a four year term. Prior to that, Council Member Sowa was appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals and served from January 2020 until the November 2021 election. Council Member Sowa, also, chaired the 2021 Arts and Dash 5K event for the City's annual Arts and Drafts Festival. Council Member Sowa is the Program Director at the Baker college Culinary Institute of Michigan. She has a Masters degree from Calvin College and is the Lincoln Park Elementary PTO President. Council Member Sowa is married and has two daughters who attend Mona Shores Public Schools.
