Roger C. Morgenstern was appointed to the City Council in July 2016 to serve the remainder of a four-year term, elected to the remainder of a partial term expiring in 2017 and re-elected a four-year term that expires in 2025. Council Member Morgenstern has been involved in the community through his employment with Consumers Energy since 1999 and as a member of the EDC/TIFA/Brownfield Redevelopment Authority from 2005 to 2016. He is also an active volunteer and board member with Harbor Hospice. His previous board experience includes United Way of the Lakeshore, Disability Connection, the Muskegon Community YMCA, Volunteer Muskegon and Muskegon Area First, to name a few. He and his wife Michelle raised three children in Norton Shores.
