Council Member Fox was first elected to City Council in the August 6, 2024 election to serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring November 2025.
Elizabeth (“Eli”) Fox is a born and bred Michigander – a descendant of both European settlers and Native grandparents of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians. She currently works as Data & Systems Director for BOOM LLC, a small business that supports Michigan-based nonprofits rooted in community organizing. Before that, Eli worked 13+ years at Muskegon Community College. Of note, she managed Student Success & Veterans Affairs for five years where she deepened her commitment to advocacy for military families and veterans. Eli earned degrees from the University of Michigan and Western Michigan University. She lives with her partner, Kal, their three young-adult children, and a couple of wily dogs in Norton Shores. Eli’s favorite thing is a walk in our local parks or coastline trails during every season of the year.
