City, Village, and Township Revenue Sharing (CVTRS) Program

Units of local government receiving statutory revenue sharing must meet certain requirements to be eligible to receive a percentage of the total revenue sharing appropriated (State sales tax proceeds provided to local governments).

This is known as the City, Village, and Township Revenue Sharing (CVTRS) program. Requirements include making available for public viewing a Citizens’ Guide to finances, Performance Dashboard, Debt Service Report and Projected Budget Report.

The Citizen’s Guide aims to provide a more transparent understanding of local unit finances by the citizens. The Performance Dashboard includes financial and operating measures such as fiscal stability, economic strength, public safety, and quality of life.

These documents are also available at the Administrative Service's Office, 4814 Henry Street, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
